Some Words on Reiki |
When I first began my healing training, it was known as Spiritual Healing and my wife was a little uncomfortable with the idea of me dabbling in some mysterious other worlds. So, we went on a Reiki workshop together to explore this form of healing together. Ki is energy - and that felt more comfortable. I have followed and used both these forms of healing - to me the labels don’t matter.
The gift of healing is learnt through a process of attunements and initiations, tuning the healer’s physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibrational level. Reiki is drawn through the healer and the patient will draw the energy to where it is required. During the healing, the whole person - both healer and patient – will receive the healing they need. Research at Stanford University has measured the flow of energy both into and out of the healer during healing sessions. Reiki is not ‘faith healing’. It is not a religion and it works regardless of any belief. It works on the physical body and also provides mental and emotional healing – relaxing, unblocking energy and bringing spiritual harmony. It can help develop higher levels of consciousness and spiritual awareness. Reiki is a healing energy and, as such, can be used universally. Healing can be given to plants and animals and to all forms of creation and energy. It can be used to help heal our planet and that all exist together in our shared home. |
The Five Ethical Principles of Reiki |
Just for today, I will not worry
